It’s Been A While

It’s been a while, no excuses. Unfortunately nothing came of efforts mentioned in previous posts from 5 years ago. Now that there is a new administration, there might be possibilities, we shall see.

Feel free to leave a comment about anything DSU Greek Organization related, or any questions. You can also email dsugreekalumni@gmail.com. We will try to make a concerted effort to make regular updates on the website. You can also fill out this form if you’d like to receive email updates.

Thanks!

This is our new site

We would like to welcome all of you to our new site. While it may not be much, its still something. Many of you have probably found your way here by way of social media. The first thing that we ask of you as to share this website with anyone who may not be on social media. We will use this site to present information regarding activities of both alumni and undergraduates. We will also include information about Delta State University as we see the need. Our primary purpose is to bridge the gap between alumni members of Greek organizations and their current undergraduate counterparts. As one alumni so eloquently put it “Delta State in my mind is exactly how I left it in 1984, nothing has changed.” We all know that this is not the case, but it isn’t until someone brings to our immediate attention current information that we actually realize it. All of us are passionate about our organizations, and more importantly we are passionate about Delta State University. We all want continued success for both our organizations and the University, and believe that the two are intricately linked.  We look forward to bringing more information to all of you, and working together to not only sustain but improve the quality of our organizations.

A BRIEF VIDEO

Good morning my Greek alumni family,

I assume that many of you have not been to DSU in many years; with that being said, I took the liberty to film the current residency situation (the beauty of technology).

The purpose of this video is nostalgia and internal motivation; nothing gets to alumni — when it comes to Greek life — more than the memories of the past.

Involvement is essential, but involvement lacks depth without communication. I have already emailed a letter to President LaForge asking what the alumni can do to support DSU’s Greek life. I am also willing to bet your Greek organization has more than one founder; that means it will take our bond — just like the bond that YOUR founders had — to enhance this page’s strength. This Greek Alumni Page is vital to our goal; plus, its the coolest thing I’ve ever witnessed happen in such a short time frame. Keep the momentum going.

Remember, this is for LIFE!!!
